Borgess Hospital: Outpatient Diagnostic and Treatment Center - Portage, Michigan

The Bouma Corporation won the bid on the Borgess Hospital renovation and addition of their new Outpatient Diagnostic and Treatment Center (ODTC). Bouma excelled at the challenge of completing this project while the hospital continued daily operations.

Planning of the work with hospital personnel was critical given it is operational 24-hours a day. All events needed to be coordinated to avoid any temporary power shut downs, to provide minimum noise disruption, and to assure safety of public hallways, patient rooms, and nursing stations.

The scope of this project included fireproofing, interior and exterior metal stud framing, lead shielding, drywall, acoustical ceilings, wall protection, handrails, and cornerguards.
