HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE

Metro Health Hospital - Wyoming, Michigan

The Bouma Corporation was awarded the contract for the interior finishes of over 200 private patient rooms, ten operating rooms, and the MRI facilities at Metro Health Hospital. Bouma was responsible for the finishing of interior metal stud framing, drywall, acousticals, and patterned floors.

The project called for curved walls and flooring in which intricate cutting and craftsmanship were involved. The children’s pediatric wing included star shapes to be inlaid in various rooms.

The Bouma Corporation employed 100 employees, accumulating approximately 25,000 man hours safely without any lost time. The project was also within budget and completed 60 days ahead of schedule!

All materials used in this project were LEED certified with recommended recycle content and all scrap was sorted according to LEED specifications. Metro Health has been awarded LEED Gold Certification for this project.
