Traverse City Branch Manager

“I began my career at Bouma with the intention of it being a temporary position in 1990. I cannot say enough to show how much I appreciate the opportunity that Bouma has provided to my family and me. It is such a great privilege to be working with so many other individuals that strive to do well not only for the great company we work for, but also to those which we provide our professional services.”

At the start of his career at The Bouma Corporation, Mike served as an apprentice in the field, then quickly moving to journeyman before running retail renovation projects and new store interior build-outs throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. From there, Mike transferred from the field into the office in 1994 as an Assistant Project Manager and rapidly moved into the Project Manager position in 1995. Mike transferred to the Traverse City office in 2003 where he was promoted to Branch Manager. In his role as Traverse City Branch Manager, he oversees the field personnel, estimators, project managers, and office staff for Bouma’s Northern Michigan division, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and on budget.

Outside of work, Mike coached baseball for several years, and has since resigned to being a spectator, watching his sons and daughter play on travel teams both in and out of state. Mike also enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.
