Estimator

Brian’s construction career began during his college summers, working as a laborer. A few years later, he moved into residential carpentry, where he developed his skills and found a particular interest in finish work. When the housing market slowed in 2005, he transitioned into commercial construction and spent most of his career growing with one company.

Over the years, Brian worked his way from carpenter to foreman, project manager, and estimator. That field-first experience gives him a practical understanding of constructability and how each decision affects the people responsible for bringing the work to life.

Today, he enjoys estimating because it allows him to see how all the pieces fit together and help set a project up for a strong start. At Bouma, he brings a builder’s perspective to every estimate, along with a respect for the craft, the team, and the details that keep work moving.
