Dan DeRyke
Advisory Board
“I am very excited about the positive direction we are going as a company and the fact that every member of the team is more focused and especially more engaged than at any time in our Company’s history.”
Following more than 30 years of dedicated leadership, Dan DeRyke now serves in an advisory capacity to Bouma Corporation. After retiring from his role as Chief Executive Officer, Dan continues to offer insight and guidance to the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors, helping support long-term planning and organizational continuity.
Throughout his career, Dan provided both tactical and visionary leadership across all areas of the business — from financial management and business development to operations and strategic planning. His commitment to Bouma’s Guiding Principles shaped the company’s culture and strengthened relationships with customers, trade partners, and financial stakeholders.
While no longer involved in day-to-day operations, Dan remains a valued resource and mentor, helping ensure Bouma’s future remains rooted in the values and vision that have guided its past.
Dan joined Bouma in 1994, at a time when the Company was preparing for significant expansion both in construction services offered and geographical footprint. He served as Chief Financial Officer from 1995 to 2011 and successfully led the Company through the challenges of the last economic recession. In 2011, he was promoted to President and became a significant member of the ownership group in 2012. Dan has a strong background in management and finance. He has been pivotal in securing the right talent to build the Bouma team for the future as the business evolves and adapts to changes in the marketplace and industry. Dan earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Western Michigan University and was designated a Certified Public Accountant in 1981.
