Tyler Bouma was appointed President of The Bouma Corporation in August 2025, bringing over two decades of experience across field operations, project management, workforce development, and executive leadership. A third-generation member of the Bouma family, Tyler leads with a strong commitment to the company’s values, its people, and lasting partnerships throughout Michigan’s construction industry.

He began his career with Bouma in 1999 as a field carpenter while pursuing his business degree. In 2005, he transitioned to an estimator role and soon after supported a major Grand Rapids project that led to his promotion to project manager in 2007. He later served as Director of Operations for Bouma’s Grand Rapids division before stepping into the role of Director of Workforce Development in 2022, where he focused on recruitment, training, and retention. In 2024, he was promoted to Vice President of Operations before assuming his current role as President.

Tyler holds a degree in Business Management from Grand Valley State University. He is OSHA- and CPR-certified, trained in Project Management (PMI), and has a State of California Contractor’s License. He is also an active member of Associated Builders and Contractors of West Michigan (ABC) and the American Subcontractors Association of Michigan (ASA).
