Mike began his career with Bouma in 1983, starting as a truck driver and working his way through the field as a carpenter and field superintendent. Over the years, he has played a key role in building Bouma’s presence in Northern Michigan.
Today, Mike continues his work as a Project Manager—bringing decades of field experience and practical knowledge to every job. He works closely with teams and partners to keep projects on track, support the field, and ensure work is completed to Bouma’s standards.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Arts from Western Michigan University and is a Governance Committee Member at the Traverse City Builders Exchange. He and his wife, Mary Kay, have three children. Mike coaches youth sports and enjoys spending time outdoors.
